Abstract : This paper develops an unbiased iterative parameter identification algorithm for time-delay nonlinear rational systems. In order to reduce redundant parameters, the time delay is estimated by the iterative estimator based on the L1 regularization technique and the cross-validation strategy first, then a rational system is decomposed into two subsystems by the hierarchical principle. The unbiased parameter estimates are obtained by the least squares iterative technique. The simulation example shows the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
